The Chinese Communist Party has joined hands with the ruling parties from Tanzania, Mozambique, Namibia, Angola, South Africa and Zimbabwe to train African leaders in Beijing's authoritarian governance methods. The Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership School in Tanzania will teach economic development strategies, as well as CCP methods of extending ruling party dominance over state institutions. China wields major economic clout across Africa, and its close ties with the six training targets date back to the colonial liberation era.
