China’s Cyberspace Research Institute is testing a new AI chatbot that incorporates President Xi Jinping’s book, Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and other knowledge bases. The writings of Xi, who has ruled China since 2012 and eliminated term limits to allow lifetime tenure, are already required reading in schools, government offices and businesses.
