G7, 즉 주요7개국 정상들이 28일 독일에서 북한의 대륙간탄도미사일(ICBM) 등 미사일 시험발사를 규탄하면서 ‘북한은 완전한 비핵화를 위한 대화에 나서라’고 촉구했습니다.
독일 바이에른주에서 지난 3일간 만났던 G7정상들은 이날 공동성명을 통해 “북한이 지난 3월과 5월 실시한 ICBM발사 등 지속적이고 불법적인 탄도미사일 실험을 강력히 규탄한다”고 밝혔습니다. (We strongly condemn the continued, unlawful testing of ballistic missiles by the DPRK, including the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) launches conducted on 24 March and 25 May 2022.)
이어 “북한은 유엔 안전보장이사회 결의에 따라 ‘완전하고, 검증할 수 있고, 돌이킬 수 없는 방식으로’ 불법 대량살상무기와 탄도미사일 프로그램을 폐기해야 한다”고 촉구했습니다. (We demand that the DPRK abandon its unlawful weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile programs in a complete, verifiable and irreversible manner in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.)
그러면서 “우리는 모든 국가가 이런 결의안을 완전하고 효과적으로 이행하길 바란다”며 “제재를 회피하는 것도 경계해달라”고 요구했습니다. (We further call on all states to fully and effectively implement these resolutions, and to remain vigilant for sanctions evading activity.)
G7 정상들은 북한이 외교에 참여하고, 완전한 비핵화를 위한 대화도 재개하라고 밝혔습니다. (We urge the DPRK to engage in diplomacy and to resume dialogue towards complete denuclearisation.)
북한이 인도주의와 인권상황을 개선해야 한다고도 강조했습니다. 정상들은 “북한은 코로나 상황을 효과적으로 해결하고, 국제 인도주의 기구가 북한에 접근하도록 해야 한다”며 “납치 문제는 즉시 해결하라”고 촉구했습니다. (We reiterate the urgent need for the DPRK to improve the humanitarian and human rights situation, address its COVID situation effectively, facilitate access for international humanitarian organisations, and resolve the abductions issue immediately.)
