We will discuss why Tibetans and Tibet supporters in Paris are protesting this, as well as the motives and objectives of the Chinese government in wanting to change the English term "Tibet" to "Xizang". We will also explore what difficulties might arise if the Chinese government's desire to replace "Tibet" with "Xizang" spreads throughout the international community.
