독, 북중회담에 “외교노력 환영…구체적 비핵화 조치 필요”

유엔 안전보장이사회 산하 대북제재위원회 의장국인 독일은 지난 20일부터 1박 2일 간 개최됐던 북중 정상회담과 관련해, 북한의 비핵화를 위한 모든 외교적 노력을 환영한다고 밝혔습니다.

독일 외무부 관계자는 21일 자유아시아방송(RFA)에 “독일 연방정부는 항상 북한의 핵위기를 대화와 외교를 통해서만 해결할 수 있다고 강조해왔다”고 말했습니다. (The Federal Government has always underlined that it will only be possible to resolve the nuclear crisis in North Korea through dialogue and diplomacy.)

그러면서 그는 “우리는 북한의 ‘완전하고 검증가능하며 돌이킬 수 없는 비핵화’를 향한 길로 더 나아가게 하는 모든 조치들을 환영한다”고 말했습니다. (We welcome every step that brings us further on the path towards a complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearisation of North Korea.)

하지만 그는 북한의 비핵화를 위해서는 북한이 비핵화 의지를 분명히 뒷받침하는 구체적인 조치를 취할 필요가 있다고 강조했습니다. (To this end, however, North Korea will need to undertake concrete measures that credibly underpin its stated willingness to denuclearise.)
