불가리아 외무부는 4일 자유아시아방송(RFA)에 "불가리아는 정기적으로 북한 측에 국경 개방을 촉구하고 있다"고 밝혔습니다.
외무부는 북한에 선박 혹은 화물열차를 통해 국제사회의 인도적 지원을 수용할 것을 촉구하는 내용은 논의된 적 없다면서도 국경 개방에 대해서는 이 같은 입장을 밝혔습니다. (The issue regarding encouraging North Korea to accept humanitarian aid from the international community through sea or cargo routes has not been discussed but the Bulgarian side regularly urges the North Korean side to open its borders.)
그러면서 불가리아는 국제기구를 통한 대북지원 방안을 논의하고 있다며 아직 구체적인 계획은 없다고 설명했습니다. (Humanitarian support through international organisations is being discussed with no specific plans as of yet.)
불가리아 외무부 측은 또 북한의 코로나19 관련 조치로 주북 불가리아 대사관이 임시 폐쇄됐지만 여건이 허락한다면 현지 외교활동을 재개하는 방안을 고려해볼 수 있다고 전했습니다. (MoFA will consider resuming its diplomatic presence on the ground when the conditions allow it.)
다만 이는 북한 측이 코로나19 조치를 완화하고 해외 외교관들을 위해 국경을 다시 개방하는 문제와 밀접하게 연결돼 있다고 강조했습니다. (This is closely connected with the North Korean side easing the anti-COVID-19 measures and reopening its border for foreign diplomats.)
스위스 외무부 측 역시 3일 자유아시아방송(RFA)에 스위스 개발협력청의 인도적 활동이 지난 2020년 북한의 국경 봉쇄로 일시 중단됐다며 여건이 허락한다면 다시 활동을 재개할 계획이라고 밝혔습니다. (Due to the country's border closure in 2020 Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) temporarily suspended its humanitarian activities in North Korea. It will resume its activities in the DPRK as soon as the conditions allow for it.)
한편, 루마니아 측은 4일 자유아시아방송(RFA)에 북한의 외부 지원 수용 및 주북 대사관 문제와 관련해 현재 북한과 논의하지 않고 있다고 전했습니다.
